Lisa Leibow, J.D., is an author, academic and attorney with experience practicing in government, in-house and private practice.

She also in an experienced Author and Writing Professor with a demonstrated history of publishing and teaching writing at the graduate, undergraduate and community education levels. Skilled in Legal, Academic, Fiction, Short Stories, Creative Non-fiction, Literature, and Poetry.

She has served as Administrative Law Judge at a state regulatory agency; served as in-house regulatory counsel to a quasi-governmental trade association; represented clients in judicial, legislative, and regulatory proceedings at the federal, state and local levels; and drafted subsidiary contracts for broadcast stations and employment and vendor contracts for telecommunications carriers.

Professor Leibow has served on various nonprofit boards and served as election official and precinct captain for many years. She is also President and Co-founder with author Julia Alvarez of The Scheherazade Project, an activism through storytelling arts movement that uses the power of art, creativity, solidarity and courage in promoting social justice, nourishing our spirits and enabling a more beloved community.

Professor Leibow is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts.
