“What I received from the course far exceeded my expectations,” wrote Mark, a recent graduate from the GW Cybersecurity Boot Camp, an intensive program, offered through GW’s College of Professional Studies in partnership with Trilogy Education, a 2U, Inc. brand.

In the letter, he remarked on his extraordinary experience and thanked the Boot Camp staff, teachers and teaching assistants for all their hard work and dedication.

“As you may well know that teaching for memorization and regurgitation hurts the student that is actually trying to learn. The GW Cyber course reinforced conceptual basics that were then reinforced through hands-on repetition in class and then in the homework assignments. This is an excellent approach for the students to understand the concepts involved with cybersecurity work.”

“Both instructors were great in their own unique way. Both took their time to help address questions from the students and applied real world examples to enhance the course material. The teacher assistants (TAs) all provided great assistance and advice to the students both during class via chat and in the breakout rooms. The TAs took their time to address student’s questions, concerns, and helped in tutoring sessions.”

“The GW Cybersecurity Boot Camp is an excellent deep dive into the realm of cybersecurity and what is involved to work in this growing field. The course has far exceeded my expectations and has opened my eyes into the importance of cybersecurity in not just business but in everyday life.”

“I have already made a presentation to government data officers on the use of different protocols to secure data and enterprise networks using blockchain technology, homomorphic encryption and differential privacy.”
