GW-IIST students were invited to experience the transformative solutions at Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) Innovation Center, and were able to witness the collaborative space designs created by BAH to inspire and fuel creativity among their employees. Over the last 100-years BAH continues to remain one of the top consulting agencies, contributing their success to remaining adaptable and flexible to their clients needs. Among one of BAHs recent revolutionary developments is their Innovation Center, a work-space created for employees, clients and partners to come together to push ideas forward. This free-flowing environment has large work-tables instead of the typical enclosed cubes, and conference rooms with glass walls to facilitate an open-environment.
The tour took the GW students through the Product Exhibits, the Internet of Things Labs (IoT), and the Ventures and Edge Technology work center. Students were able to observe the IoT, an end-to-end solutions where both physical and virtual solutions are being created, designed, tested and implemented. Students were amazed at the new Product Exhibits stations where they were able to demo technology solutions, take interactive pictures, view data science solutions, and interact with robots. To incorporate the Booz Allen’s Don’t Go At It Alone philosophy, students were encouraged to come and participate in various events in the upcoming year.
