Professor Cravins is the Vice President for Policy & External Affairs at Charter Communications and an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Studies program at The George Washington University.

Previously he worked for the National Urban League as Senior Vice President for Policy and Executive Director of the Washington Bureau, where he developed the National Urban League’s policy, research and advocacy agenda.

Prior to this he was a representative and senator for the state of Louisiana and Chief of Staff for United States Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA).

Before that he was the staff director and chief counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship and was a Louisiana state senator and a Louisiana state representative.

Prior to that, he practiced with Domengeaux Wright Roy & Edwards LLC, of Lafayette, Louisiana and McGlinchey Stafford, PLLC of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Professor Cravins currently serves as a Judge Advocate-Major in the District of Columbia U.S. Army National Guard and previously served as a Judge Advocate in the Louisiana Army National Guard.

While studying at Southern University Law Center he was a member of the Southern University Law Review and the national moot court team.
