James E. Cheeks II holds a Master’s of Cybersecurity Strategy & Information Management, from George Washington University, a Master’s in Public Administration (Old Dominion University), and a B.S. in Business Administration (Nazareth University). He currently serves as a Supervisory Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he serves in a leadership capacity in cyber investigative matters. In addition, throughout his FBI cyber career, he has been involved in private sector cyber outreach and engagement.

Prior to his time with the FBI, Mr. Cheeks served time in the military and Department of the Army as an Intelligence Officer.

Mr. Cheeks teaches Cyber Intelligence and Strategic Analysis (PSCS 6246) in the Master’s in Cybersecurity and Information Management Program at George Washington University. He has several certifications that include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
