D.C. Parks and Recreation Director Thennie Freeman helped launch a certification program to equip adults with the skills needed to effectively support young people. The initiative was created in partnership with the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (CEPL) to strengthen the youth development workforce across Washington, D.C.
