GenderPro Credential Now Available

GenderPro Credential Now Available First Globally Recognized Professional Credential in the Gender and Development Field

The GenderPro Credential is a free, online credential exam offered to gender and international development professionals from around the world. The GenderPro Credential seeks to build a global network of gender and development professionals through the establishment of field-wide competencies and standards in the field of gender and international development.

The Credential is developed and endorsed by the GenderPro Alliance and it is the first globally recognized professional credential in the gender and development field. The Credential will contribute to wider visibility, respect and professionalization of the gender and development field.

Professionals may apply for the credential and pass an online multiple-choice exam. It assesses the test-takers competencies across the following categories:

  • Foundations of Gender Integrated Programming
  • How Power Dynamics Affect Gender Equality Work
  • Gender Analysis
  • Using Data for Gender Analysis
  • Designing and Implementing Gender-Integrated Programmes
  • Monitoring and Evaluating Gender-Integrated Programmes
  • Advocacy, Communications and Scale-Up

The GenderPro team has created a document that highlights the key skills, concepts and resources to review before taking the exam. If you have taken the GenderPro Capacity Building Programme, you will be well prepared to take the Credential Exam.
