Letter from ISC2 with CISSP exam results for Eric Cursio showing he passed

Congratulations to Eric J. Curcio, a 2018 alumnus of our cybersecurity bachelor’s degree completion program, on passing his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) examination. The certification is highly sought after by employers as the “top” certification in cybersecurity.

“I just wanted to say thank you for all you’ve done to help me learn cybersecurity. Yesterday, I passed the CISSP exam on my first attempt and it was the first time I ever took an IT certification exam,” wrote Curcio to associate professor and program director Dr. Scott White, and CPS faculty members Dave Vargas, Hiep Tran, and Dr. Jaroslav Flidr.

"A lot of the material and exam questions reflected what I learned in the program, so again, just wanted to say thanks for all that you do.”

According to the (ISC)², earning their rigorous CISSP certification "proves you have what it takes to effectively design, implement and manage a best-in-class cybersecurity program.”

Mr. Curcio currently works for Akamai Technologies in Northern Virginia as a technical project lead manager in the public sector. His professional experience includes working as a data center technician II and III for Rackspace, an advisory associate on a technology integration team supporting mergers & acquisitions for PwC, and a tour of duty with the U.S. Army. He can be reached by email or via LinkedIn.
