Cyber Strategy Faculty Member Briefed Congress on Crime Statistics

Paul Wormeli, one of our faculty members in the Cybersecurity Strategy & Information Management master's program, recently briefed Congress regarding a possible new crime commission. He was called on to offer expert testimony regarding crime statistics.

His presentation was about the evolution of criminal justice statistics since the President's Crime Committee of 1967, detailing how this field has changed over time and how a future Presidential commission might focus its work.

Wormeli consults for government and the commercial sector in the application of information technology to public service. He has introduced innovative programs in public policy as well as innovations in the use of technology. He has managed the development of software products resulting in system implementation for dozens of agencies throughout the world and has managed national programs in support of advanced information sharing.
